Open Positions

These are full-time, in-studio positions based in Mexico City. Each role involves direct participation in live projects across hospitality, residential, civic, and urban design. To apply, complete the corresponding application form below.

  • We're looking for a strategic support professional who enables the Design Manager to focus on high-level decisions. You'll be the bridge between leadership, multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external consultants — keeping projects, schedules, and documentation under control at all times.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and track simultaneous architectural projects (hospitality, residential, and commercial)

    • Manage the Design Manager's calendar, meetings, and communications with clients, consultants, and internal teams

    • Prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and new project pitches

    • Maintain project documentation in Notion: databases, tracking boards, and wikis

    • Flag risks and deviations in design team deliverables before they become problems

    • Coordinate the receipt, review, and distribution of technical documentation (drawings, specifications, contracts)

    • Manage internal workflows and automations to optimize department productivity

    • Research regulations, design trends, and project references as needed

    Who We're Looking For

    Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience coordinating architectural or construction projects. Final-year students with a strong interest in the role are also encouraged to apply.

    • Exceptional organization and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and tight deadlines

  • MCxA is seeking a Project Architect to join our Mexico City studio. This full-time role covers all phases of architectural development — from concept design and technical documentation to on-site supervision — across residential, hospitality, civic, and mixed-use project typologies. The position requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams, BIM-based workflows, and direct client communication.

  • MCxA is looking for a BIM Modeler to develop and maintain precise architectural models using Revit, supporting live projects from concept through construction documentation. Based in our Mexico City studio, this role plays a key part in interdisciplinary coordination, clash detection, and the production of technical deliverables across all active projects.

  • MCxA is hiring a BIM Coordinator to lead methodology, standards, and interdisciplinary model coordination across our project portfolio. This senior technical role manages federated models, clash detection workflows, and BIM Execution Plans — acting as the key link between architects, engineers, and external consultants on projects of multiple scales and typologies.

  • MCXA is seeking a Site Resident Engineer with a permanent on-site presence, solid technical judgment, and a non-negotiable culture of quality.
    As the primary field representative of the MCXA team, you will serve as the first filter for quality and the first line of defense against site deviations. You have the immediate authority to suspend any activity that compromises personnel integrity. Absolute priority: Safety > Quality > Cost > Time.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Daily Supervision: Oversee execution across all work fronts (F-1 to F-5), ensuring procedures align with current IFC drawings and approved specifications.
    - Activity Authorization: Issue the "Start of Activities" authorization for each front and package; no work begins without Residency approval.
    - QA/QC Management: Execute the release system and hold points; apply and record quality checklists and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within Procore.
    - Contractor Coordination: Coordinate physical interfaces between contractors, including sequences, overlapping fronts, and protection of finished works.
    - Safety & Compliance: Verify permanent compliance with the SHE Manual; record incidents in Procore in < 2 hours and notify the Site Director immediately.
    - Reporting: Prepare daily site reports with photographic evidence and progress updates; provide weekly reports per front to the Site Director and CPM Committee.

    Your Profile
    - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Engineering (Professional License required). Specialization in Construction Management or BIM is a plus.
    - Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Resident Engineer or Supervisor in large-scale corporate, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
    - Technical Expertise: Simultaneous supervision of structure, MEP, building envelopes, and finishes; direct coordination of multiple specialized contractors in the field.
    - Systems: Application of QA/QC systems and formal inspections; proficiency in Procore or equivalent platforms.

    Key Competencies
    - Technical Authority: Ability to make immediate field decisions with sound judgment and proactive rejection of deficient work.
    - Documentary Rigor: Consistent recording of every finding, release, or deviation without delay. Absolute integrity.
    - Languages: Native Spanish; basic technical English for data sheets and specifications.

    Conditions
    - Location: Permanent on-site presence in León, Guanajuato.
    - Availability: On-call in < 2 hours for after-hours incidents. Estimated duration: 22 months.
    - Equipment: Laptop, tablet, Procore access, radio, and institutional email provided. Standard PPE is mandatory on-site.

Design Internship – Architecture Studio

Internships have a minimum duration of six months, ensuring that participants are meaningfully engaged in both the creative and technical processes of the studio. Specific responsibilities are determined after the application process, as they depend on each candidate’s background, skills, and experience. Accommodation may be offered depending on individual circumstances, and hybrid or remote formats can also be considered.

  • Contribute to the creative process of ongoing projects by supporting concept development, diagramming, model-making, and early design presentations. This role involves close collaboration with the design team to translate ideas into compelling architectural proposals.

  • Work alongside project architects in the preparation of technical drawings, construction documentation, and coordination with consultants. The role emphasizes precision, technical understanding, and attention to detail in the development of architectural projects.

  • Enhance the representation of projects through high-quality renderings, 3D models, and graphic presentations. This position is focused on crafting powerful visual narratives that communicate design intent both internally and to clients.

  • Support the studio’s design innovation by conducting research on architectural precedents, materials, technologies, and theoretical frameworks. The role involves producing analytical diagrams, reports, and presentations that inform and enrich project development.

  • Participate in the design and analysis of large-scale projects such as masterplans, campuses, and public spaces. Responsibilities include mapping, data analysis, and the production of diagrams and visual material to support strategic urban design proposals.

  • Bring design concepts to life through physical models and prototypes. This role involves working with both digital fabrication tools (3D printing, laser cutting, CNC) and traditional craft methods to produce detailed, high-quality representations of projects.

  • Gain direct exposure to the construction process by supporting project teams during site visits and coordination meetings. Responsibilities include documenting progress, assisting with technical observations, and contributing to the interface between design and construction.

  • Contribute to the integration of sustainable design strategies in projects. The role involves research and analysis of materials, energy modeling, daylight studies, and the application of environmental design tools to enhance project performance.

  • Item Support the studio’s external presence through portfolio development, competition submissions, publications, and digital content. This role emphasizes graphic design, photography, and storytelling to communicate the firm’s work to a broader audience.
