Who we are
Mauricio Ceballos x Architects is a global, collaborative firm led by Mauricio Ceballos. Together with FR-EE and Foster + Partners, he led the New Mexico City Airport (NAIM), Mexico’s most ambitious infrastructure project of the past 30 years. His work includes high-impact projects ranging from the structural reinforcement of the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to cultural and commercial landmarks such as the French Institute of Latin America (IFAL).
How we work
Integrating analysis, strategy, and execution throughout:
Community
Protecting existing landscape, heritage, and cultural identity. Designing spaces that encourage coexistence and belonging. And, integrating local craft and knowledge into contemporary architecture.
Life
Creating environments that improve well-being through light, proportion, and natural materials. Designing homes that support daily rituals and long-term adaptability. And understanding architecture as an experience that shapes memory and emotion.
Environment
Reducing carbon impact through material selection and construction methods. Integrating water, energy, and climate systems into design. And, building with respect for ecological cycles, topography, and natural time.

What we do
Holistic Spaces for Community, Life, and Environment
Interior and exterior flow seamlessly, shaped by honest, local, and coherent materials. Technology enhances simplicity rather than complexity, allowing nature to become an integral part of the architectural experience. In this approach, spaces evolve with people and climate, adapting rather than resisting, and creating environments that feel alive, responsive, and deeply connected to their context.
We respond to today’s most urgent architectural challenges
We create low-carbon, regenerative buildings, restore connections to nature, design adaptable and enduring spaces, honor local identity, and develop self-sufficient systems for a resource-scarce future. Our work meets these needs with clarity, purpose, and precision—specializing in airports, interiors, landscape, and furniture.
Implementation
-
Hospitality
We design hospitality and travel environments—primarily airports—that forge meaningful connections between people, place, and purpose.

-
Civic
From museums and performance venues to stadiums and public gathering spaces, our work goes beyond function.

-
Residential
We design residential environments that respond to context, climate, and lifestyle, emphasizing natural light, spatial clarity, and material quality.

-
Workplaces
We create spaces that balance efficiency, flexibility, and collaboration while reflecting a company’s culture and identity. From open-plan offices to corporate headquarters and co-working environments.

-
Public Projects
Shapes vibrant, resilient, and context-driven environments that connect people, nature, and infrastructure. From public plazas and streetscapes to parks and mixed-use districts

Our portfolio, media presence, and competition work reflect a clear commitment to regenerative, low-carbon, and context-driven design.
We build around existing ecosystems and heritage sites, use passive strategies and recycled or local materials, integrate water and energy autonomy, and develop modular, reversible systems designed for long-term adaptability.
