Context

This residential project was commissioned by a family of five seeking to expand their existing apartment through the addition of an upper floor. The goal was to create a refined, contemporary environment that maintained a fluid connection with the lower level, offering both intimacy and openness.

Executed with the collaboration of skilled craftsmen, the project showcases a commitment to detail and material quality, where every element—from joinery to lighting—was carefully tailored to enhance the home’s character and comfort.

Design Principles

The design embraces clean lines, soft textures, and translucent lighting to achieve an atmosphere of understated sophistication. Spatially, the layout maximizes natural light and panoramic city views, integrating private terraces in front of the bedrooms and a social area designed for gatherings with friends and family.

At the heart of the project, an elegant staircase acts as a sculptural connector between levels, embodying both movement and continuity. The result is a harmonious and comfortable residence, where craftsmanship, proportion, and light converge to create a timeless living environment.
