The site is located at the confluence of three important axis; running parallel to the coast line, the Marine cultural belt and the Coastal industrial belt will provide strong identity components. And the intersection with the Mountain green development belt will bring ecological characteristics to the new development area. Dadeng Island is located in the intersection of ZhangzhouXiamen-Quanzhou metropolitan area. This strategic positioning is a great opportunity to create a major international air and sea port hub. The development area extends around the delta of Jiuxi brook. Our proposal includes the following main concepts: 1. Airport city: international trade center and convention and exhibition centers. 2. Regional logistic port & high-end manufacturing demonstration base. 3. International financial center 4. Regional Cultural Center 5. Regional innovation center Our vision incorporates this special location to create a city with multiple cross-river views and opportunities to create a beautiful skyline. The relationship with the mountain region in the north is very important. Multiple green corridors across the Xiang ‘an District. The area provides a great canvas to build an urban park system that will incorporate the sponge-city concepts, increasing the resiliency and sustainability value of the urban plan.
